Geopointe Map Interface

The Map interface contains all the tools end users need to utilize Geopointe's powerful functionality.

Control Panel - Your starting place for putting data on the Map, the Control Panel houses all saved Data Sets, Shapes, Saved Locations, Routes, Thematic Layers, and any other data layers in your organization that you have permission to access. 

It consists of six tabs: Saved Layers | Mapped Layers Places | My Locations Routes | Map Legend

Search Places, Markers, and Salesforce - Search Google Maps using an address or keyword and add locations to routes, or save them for later use. You can also use this tool to search for any mappable Salesforce record and add it to the Map. 

Traffic - Click to see current traffic.

Settings - View and edit your User Settings.

Styles - Switch to a different map style. If you add custom map styles, you can select them here.

Fullscreen - Click to activate fullscreen view of the map. 

Zoom - Zoom in or zoom out. 

Street View - Click and hold the Google Pegman to activate Street View mode. Drop the Pegman in an area designated with blue to see Google's Street View. Use the arrow at the top left of the window to exit Street View.

Current Location - Recenter the map on your current location. You must have Location Services enabled in your browser settings for this to work.

Shape Drawing Tools - Use these tools to create polygons, rectangles, circles, and lines.

Shape Library - Access the Geopointe Shape Library of boundaries, including zip codes, states, and other municipal areas, and use them to create shapes and territories. 

Measure Distance - Create a path on the Map by clicking your mouse, then see the measured distance in the Mapped Layers tab.
