GPS Location Problems on Android Devices

We have received reports intermittently from Android users that Geopointe in Salesforce Mobile does not find their location, even with location services fully enabled. This is not a Geopointe error and is not something our development team has control over.

The problem originates from a bug associated with Chrome v.64. A Salesforce for Mobile patch is expected on Wednesday, February 14th. You can read more on the known issue page.

In the meantime, you do have a workaround. Until the patch is released, uninstall Chrome v.64 and install v.63 instead, as the issue does not occur in that earlier version. You can find earlier versions of Chrome at this link if needed:
