Map Settings in the Salesforce Mobile App
The Geopointe Map settings in the Salesforce mobile app allow you to customize your Geopointe experience while you're on the go. To review and adjust your settings, launch Geopointe in the Salesforce mobile app, tap the menu icon within the Search Bar, then tap Settings.
You'll arrive at the Settings screen below. Read on to learn more about each setting.
Navigation App: To set a navigation app, tap the drop-down and choose from Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze. If the selected app is not installed on your phone, you will be prompted to install it when starting a navigation from the Salesforce mobile app.
Rideshare App: To set a rideshare app, tap the drop-down and choose between Uber, Lyft, and -None-. If the selected app is not installed, you'll be prompted to install it when you choose a rideshare navigation.
If you have selected both a rideshare and navigation app, you'll be prompted to choose between them when you tap the Navigate button. Simply tap your choice, and the selected app will launch with the target address pre-populated. In the example below, we had set Google Maps as our default navigation app, and Uber as our default rideshare app. (Learn more about Geopointe Routing For Salesforce Mobile App.)
Distance Units: Tap the dropdown to select either Miles or Kilometers.
Restore Map on Load: Check this box to keep your previous route active if the Salesforce mobile app refreshes itself due to being left idle.
Quick Check In / Quick Check Out - Check the appropriate box to enable the ability to check in or check out with a single tap. Note: With these options enabled, you cannot add a custom note or choose to share your Check-In to the Chatter Feed. However, you can set all Check-Ins to automatically post to the feed by clicking Share on Feed in your browser map settings.
Primary Action: Select either Add to Route or Navigate from the drop-down. The selected action will appear as a primary action when a record is tapped in the map.
